I enjoy art, listening to music and learning all I can about my interests which are honestly too many to count. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and am excited to take up this position at Brushfire.
Hello! My name is Madison Kitch, and I'm the staff writer for Brushfire. I'm studying Journalism and Political Science here at the University of Nevada, Reno. I have a soft spot for long form journalism pieces and I enjoy most genres of books. My favorite writer is Joan Didion. When I'm not writing or reading, I like to watch movies and hang out with my friends. I'm excited to write for Brushfire and can't wait to see your submissions!
I’m Emma Charles, and I’m the audiobook producer for Brushfire! I’m majoring in journalism with the film and media production emphasis, and minoring in cultural anthropology and creative writing. I love stories of all kinds, especially fantasy and gothic horror, told through any medium (though my favorites are books and audio dramas). When I’m not engaging with stories, I may be learning about history and sociology, or sword fighting other nerds in a park.
Cheyenne McGregor is a sophomore majoring in the English Packteach program at UNR. Her favorite genre to both read and write is contemporary poetry/fiction. When she isn’t reading or writing, she likes to go on outdoor adventures with her husband and puppy in Carson City. Cheyenne is also an assistant director of True Colors Open Mic Night at the Our Center, and a soldier in the Nevada National Guard.
Hello, I'm Ashton! I'm the Visual Arts Director here at Brushfire. I'm dual majoring in fine art and education through the Packteach program. I am extremely passionate about my artistic endeavors, however I enjoy some other hobbies such as gaming, lyrical/poetic writing, reading, and general outside activities. I am excited for this position, and the opportunity to share my peer's work throughout UNR.
