The Term ‘Zine’ Comes from Magazine. They are small-circulation, self-published works of original or appropriated texts and images, typically reproduced via a copy machine.

Brushfire Zines are hand-bound by our staff and are published sporadically. Unlike the publication’s printed editions, Brushfire provides prompts for each zine which allows us to explore artist’s different interpretations of the same issue, theme, or experience.
