Viviane Ugalde, an English major and a minor in Basque studies and Cinema Media studies, is published in our edition 71, volume 2 for her piece, “Diary of a Sixth Grader”. Viviane is from Fallon Nevada which is where she got her start with storytelling. Growing up in a big family allowed her to explore this passion at a young age. Viviane is also President of the UNR Comedy Club on campus which helps her practice different ways to work comedy into her writing.  She also finds interest in film making. But after working through a couple of projects for the Comedy Club and dabbling in the film and editing side, she’s realized that she’d like to stay a part of the writing process. Check out her work in the journal!
